Sean Drea (IRL) won the Henley Royal Regatta Diamond Sculls three years in a row (1973-1975)
and the M1X silver medal at the WRC Nottingham 1975. At the Olympic regatta Montreal 1976
he came forth in the M1X final behind P. Karppinen (FIN), P.M. Kolbe (GER) and J. Dreifke (GDR).

Thomas Lange was the M1X Olympic champion 1988 at Seoul and 1992 at Barcelona.
He won the M1X gold medal at the WRC 1987 Copenhagen, 1989 Bled and 1991 Vienna.
His first international title win was the M2X gold medal at the WRC 1987 Hazewinkel.
